Food for thought
I’ve found something interesting, in dusting off my old circa-2008 MacBook Pro 15”.
With Apple’s machines, it’s easy to tell if you’ve got integrated graphics or discrete graphics. Hell, Apple makes this a selling point of their machines (they advertise the graphics performance all over the place). Therefore, if you’re going after a laptop with good graphics performance, it’s not hard to choose.
Whereas, I see millions upon millions of PC laptops with integrated graphics, and the laptop manufacturer usually never advertises it heavily. Therefore, it’s questionable what you’re getting, be it integrated or discrete.
